Legislation

We operate under a Proactive Risk Management philosophy. This means that we endeavour to minimize our clients' exposure to any unnecessary risk or liability whilst protecting their rights and freedoms. A major part of this philosophy is to be absolutely current with all legislation. To that end, all HSM Strata Managers are required to attend regular seminars and Continuing Professional Development workshops and we engage in weekly internal staff training sessions. This process ensures that all of our staff are kept up-to-date on the many and varied matters that impact day-to-day strata management as well as the broader legal framework of the industry.

Legislation dictates the rights and responsibilities of strata schemes as well as strata management companies. While we monitor all of this information for you, you may wish to review the legislation yourself.

Below is a list linking to key legislative documents:

Please Note: All of these links will take you to specific documents at AustLII (Australasian Legal Information Institute). AustLII publishes public legal information - that is, primary legal materials (legislation, treaties and decisions of courts and tribunals); and secondary legal materials created by public bodies for purposes of public access (law reform and royal commission reports for example). You will find these materials listed under AustLII NSW Databases.
