John has over thirty years experience working in the property industry in the CBD, City Fringe, Lower North Shore and the Eastern Suburbs and is both a licensed Strata Managing Agent and a licensed Real Estate Agent.
John is committed to providing a superior professional strata management service. He has an understanding of strata life from HSM's clients' perspective as he resides in a large multi-storey Darlinghurst residential strata development. This living experience contributes greatly to John's expertise in handling the multitude of day-to-day issues facing inner-city strata schemes, high-density apartment blocks and CBD office buildings.
MARIANA CARINUS
Strata Manager
Mariana is a highly experienced, efficient and responsible professional Strata Manager. She has built up a tremendous amount of local and international experience in the strata management industry. Her strata management career started in Cape Town, South Africa where she developed her skills managing many large residential and commercial strata schemes.
The current strata management legislation in South Africa was modelled on NSW strata legislation. Thanks to this, Mariana has extensive knowledge of NSW Strata Law in addition to a solid background in all facets of accounting, office systems and administration.
Mariana started her strata management career in Cape Town managing a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, retail and industrial buildings for a highly respected and established strata management company. She then embarked on a program of further education, obtaining a Diploma in Property Management and passing the Estate Agents Board Exams in order to achieve a Certificate in Estate Agency. This Certificate is a prerequisite for Directors of strata management companies in Cape Town. Following many years of excellent service, Mariana's superior work ethic lead her to a working Directorship of her strata management company, a position she held for three years before relocating to Australia.
Mariana chose to advance her career by joining Harvie Strata Management when she arrived in Australia. She was drawn to the company by our exclusive boutique management style, emphasising a more intimate and personalised management philosophy tailored mainly to residential and commercial strata title schemes.
